Mahalo nui loa to my great students from the Fall '08 Kapa Culture Class at LCC. We had our last class a few weeks ago and I miss y'all still! Everyone created beautiful original kapa work , made crazy colors to dye it with and printed it with the 'ohe kapala that they made themselves. If you are ever in the area of Leeward CC in Pearl City, swing by the campus and drop in at the Provost office where their work is on display. Along with the wonderful kapa is i'e i'e weaving, stone work and painting by students from some of the other Hawaiian Art Classes that are available at LCC.
